Project certifications are requirex in order to receivse thestimulus funding. The latest influx of government moneuy will be used for highway and bridge repairs in severalo Western NewYork counties. Total American Recovery and Reinvestmeng Act funding dedicated tothe region’xs shovel-ready transportation projects now totalw $43.3 million, the governor said. Bridge replacement and highway reconstruction inChautauqua County’sd city of Jamestown.
Four million dollarss in stimulus funds have been dedicatedd tothe $19.8 million project. • Repaving part of I-86 in the Southerm Tier, with $1.5 million in stimulus funds. • Repaving part of Routd 265/Military Road in Erie County, with $1.2 million in stimuluse funds. • Replacing nine traffic signals and 41 pedestriajn signals throughoutErie County, with $1.1 millio n in stimulus funds. • Repaving one mile on Nash Road in the town of Wheatfielf inNiagara County, with $900,000 in stimulus • Repaving 3.1 miles of Hartland Road in the town of Somerseft in Niagara County, with $800,000p in stimulus funds.
Other projects include drainage overhead sign replacements and sealingpavement cracks.
