“We are disappointed with his Al Landon, chairman of the boarr of regents, said in a prepared statement. The withdrawalk of Jones, who is senior vice presiden t for system academic administration for the University of Minnesotain Minneapolis, leaves M.R.C. an administrator with the Universityof California-Davis, as the sole remaininbg candidate. The regents are scheduled to meet this week to discuswthe situation, Landon said. The two finalists had been named in April to replace UH President David whose term endsJuly 31. Greenwoo is at the UC-Davis campus as director of the Foode for Health Initiative and a professor of nutrition andinternal medicine.
She was chancellor at UC’e Santa Cruz campus for eight years, befored being named provost of theUC 10-campus systek in 2004. She resigned from the provost position in 2005 and movefd to Davis when the university investigated a conflicft of interest in the promotion of her frienr atSanta Cruz.
